Child Protection Policy

When attending meets, please remember that coaches or parent helpers cannot be responsible for your child during lunch breaks, or when they are away from poolside. Your child is your responsibility, and if you are not present, please make sure you have alternative arrangements in place with another parent, and that your child knows what these arrangements are.

With child protection issues increasingly in the news, in particular in relation to photos/camera phones, we would ask that you remind all swimmers of the importance that they do not misuse their camera phones in ways which are inappropriate, for example in changing rooms, or without the permission of the meet organisers. In the event that they witness such misuse, this should be reported immediately to the coach, or failing which, another adult, pool staff, or meet official.
