The competition entry fee system is as follows :
1. The competition diary can be viewed on the Club’s web-site or the Notice board at the Allander Sports Centre.
2. Coaches prepare squad entries for competitions and entries require to be submitted and paid in advance by the Club at least 4 to 6 weeks before the competition date.
3. Coaches must be notified in writing 6 to 8 weeks prior to the competition if a swimmer would like to participate. The Club and the coaches are not responsible for errors arising from any verbal communication regarding the availability of a swimmer for any competition. After entries have been submitted it is not possible to withdraw a swimmer.
4. When acceptances are known the details can be viewed on the web-site or notice boards and the Parent Representatives issue the bills for the entry fees. The Club expects these bills to be paid within a few days. Parent Representatives should not need to issue reminders or chase people for payment.
5. Entry fees in respect of accepted entries must be paid even if the swimmer, for whatever reason, does not swim in any or all of the events on the day of the competition. Failure to swim any event on the day does not result in an entry fee refund to the Club. For example, if a swimmer only swims 2 out of 6 events entered at a competition, all 6 events must be paid for.
6. If entry fees remain unpaid 4 weeks after the competition has taken place the coaches will be instructed not to enter the swimmers concerned in further competitions until the arrears are settled.
