How to Use a Book Voucher at Kettering College
If you need to purchase books for classes, you may be eligible to use a book voucher from the College Bookstore. During the registration process, students may be asked to provide certain information so that the Financial Aid Office can issue a book voucher. This information is then submitted electronically to the Student Accounts Office, and will be reviewed within 48 hours. Students will be notified via email if their request has been approved.
To use a book voucher, students must be receiving financial aid and be enrolled at least half-time in a degree program. They also must be enrolled in a course that is expected to have a credit balance of $25 or more for the semester. If you’re eligible, visit the WSU Bookstore or use their website to buy books. When placing an order, make sure to select the Textbook Voucher option and enter your nine-digit student ID number. To purchase textbooks using a book voucher, students should place their order at least 10 days before the start of classes.
Once you receive your book voucher, be sure to check your account to make sure you have enough money to cover your purchases. Any extra funds on your account will be applied to the amount of your book voucher. You cannot use a book voucher to purchase items outside of the college bookstore. To apply for a book voucher, students should have completed all financial aid paperwork and an official award letter from the Financial Aid Office. Any documentation that is missing or incomplete will be rejected.
Students may use their book voucher to purchase required or recommended textbooks, course supplies, technology items, and reference books. However, it is important to note that any purchases made before the changes took effect may result in a balance on their account. Further, students must remember that these vouchers are not a requirement to buy books from eCampus. Students may be able to use them for other purposes, depending on their eligibility.
The College will notify students who are eligible to apply for book vouchers via email. These students will then receive a voucher ID. eCampus will then send the students a code to use on the website, and Kettering College will be notified of the total amount they spend. This total will then be applied to their student account. Once the process is complete, students should receive their credit by mid-September. It is also important to note that students should complete the FAFSA by July 1 in order to qualify for the program.
The book voucher must be used within the current academic year and will not be valid for the following semester. The unused amount of the voucher will be automatically credited to the student’s account during spring semester. If the student withdraws, graduates, or is dismissed from the University before the end of the spring semester, the remainder of the balance will be refunded to the student.
